Brent Kelly claims Salvadorean Liga MB weekly honour

American Brent Kelly (185-G-2000, agency: Fully Feared Sports) put on an amazing game in the last round for Brujos Izalco and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 25-year old guard had the game-high 37 points adding five rebounds and five assists for Brujos in his team's victory, helping them to crush Santiagueno (#8, 1-5) with 17-point margin 96-79. Brujos is placed at 4th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Brujos will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. In the team's last game Kelly had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 13 attempts. He just recently signed at Brujos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Nichols College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Kelly is in league's top in points (7th best: 21.0ppg), assists (3rd best: 5.4apg) and averages solid 52.4% FGP. Worth to mention Kelly played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Marc Montavious (202-C-1990) of A.Lobos BKB. Montavious impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 16 rebounds. Of course he led A.Lobos to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Santiagueno (#8, 1-5) 113-75. This victory allowed A.Lobos to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 5-2 record is not bad at all. Montavious is one of the most experienced players at A.Lobos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.6ppg (#8). He also registered 13.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Darius Daniels (183-PG-1997) of Santiagueno BC (#8). Daniels got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . Despite Daniels' great performance the Santiagueno lost 79-96 to the higher-ranked Brujos (#4, 5-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Santiagueno can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Daniels has individually a great season in El Salvador. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.0apg (8th best).
